Digimon Story: Time Stranger All Outer Dungeon Locations

Digimon Story: Time Stranger offers a variety of unique dungeons with specific tasks to complete. These Outer Dungeons might have you taking on waves of Digimon in an auto-chess style battle, trying to complete a dungeon in a set amount of time, or even racing a Peckmon around a small course.

The Outer Dungeons come with enticing rewards, free leveled up Digimon, and are also connected to a mysterious additional storyline. Part of the fun of Outer Dungeons is just being able to discover them. Some are tucked away in strange corners of the map, while others are hidden underneath inconspicuous rubble.

Note: The greatest tip that I can give you for all of these if you're just interested in beating them eventually is to wait until you're at the endgame. You should still unlock them as you find them, but after that you can go straight to them from the In-Between Theater. They'll all become far easier with a party of Mega+ Digimon.

We've listed below all of the Outer Dungeons that we've been able to find in our 60+ hours of exploration, their rewards, and their extra unlock conditions.

Protect The Giant Digimeat

These outer dungeons will spawn you on a long runway and it's your goal to stop any of the Digimon that spawn from making their way down the runway by defeating them.

Bonus Mission: You'll earn an additional item and part of the Outer Dungeon mystery if you complete these challenges using ONLY Auto-Attacks.

Protect The Giant Digimeat 1

Location: You'll find this Outer Dungeon on the left side of the village in Gear Forest, it isn't hidden in any way

Reward:

Location: Can be found in the sewer where you first arrived in the digital world

Time Attack Boss Battle

Time Attack Boss Battles push you to reach the end of a runway filled with Digimon of varying levels before facing a Boss Digimon at the end. You'll be able to see a counter in the top left of your screen.

The trick with these is to prioritize taking a path that takes you through weaker Digimon, or a path that allows you to navigate around any Digimon running into you and attacking you. You can see all of the Digimon on the path from where you activate the quest so take your time to plan out a route.

Bonus Mission: You'll earn an additional item and part of the Outer Dungeon mystery if you defeat 10x enemies with Digi-Attacks.
This is also why it's important to plan a path that takes you by some in-training or rookie Digimon

Time Attack Boss Battle 1

Location: Can be found in the back street in Akihabara after returning to the Human World

Reward:

Time Attack Boss Battle 2

Location: Can be found a short swim from the town in the Abyss, it's in a small cave.

Time Attack Boss Battle 3

Location: Looking at your house in the real world, digi-attack the pile of garbage to the right near the restaurant.

Time Attack Boss Battle 4

Location: leave through the right exit from the Gear Forest village and hop across the platform

Survive To The End

Survive To The End is a battle of endurance as wave upon wave of Digimon will spawn, and you need to take them out while remaining alive. The concept here is pretty simple, and interestingly, you don't even need to defeat all of the Digimon you just need to run out the clock.

Speed is Victory

Speed is Victory is the most unique of the Outer Dungeons as it will have you racing down a track on a Digimon, dodging trash that will slow you down, and trying to pick up meat to give your Digimon temporary invincibility.

This is going to be the most rage-inducing as the handling on the Digimon is… not good. Practice is going to be key for all of these

Bonus Mission: You'll earn an additional item and part of the Outer Dungeon mystery if you reach the end without hitting any enemies or traps.

Location: In Abyss village in the Present Day go to the highest point. Then climb the ladder further and break open the wall to get to this Outer Dungeon.

Location: Found in the Paradise Colosseum after completing the quest 'Minervamon's Decision'

Fight The Ultimate Digimon

Fight The Ultimate Digimon is a test of strength against some high-leveled Digimon. Thankfully you only ever need to defeat three to clear the mission at it's base level, but getting the special goals take a bit more work. In this split-path system each Digimon that you take out you'll be rewarded with it's medal, you need to obtain a certain number of medals to unlock the special condition.

Bonus Mission: Each Ultimate Digimon Outer Dungeon has 14 available Marks of Mastery, to unlock the bonus condition in each of these you need to have earned a certain number of these.

Location: Can be found in the lower left in the Gear Forest: Shaded Woods. You'll need to follow the Palmon vine path to reach it

Fight The Ultimate Digimon 3

Location: In Central Town from Pegasusmon go up the stairs and along the walkway destroy a crate to get access to the Outer Dungeon.
