How to Get a Skimmer in Voyagers of Nera

This guide tells you how to get a Skimmer in Voyagers of Nera and how you can use the Basic Skimmer to quickly travel over water.

How to Get a Skimmer in Voyagers of Nera

You can unlock the Voyagers of Nera Skimmer by reaching level 6 and unlocking the Basic Skimmer in the Knowledge Tree. You will also need to unlock the Mana Forge at the same level; this specialist crafting station is needed to make the Basic Skimmer. Finally, you'll need to unlock "Crystals" for the necessary crafting materials.

Once everything is unlocked, you can craft the Basic Skimmer with the following items:

• 1 Tide Crystal
• 10 Wood
• 2 Mana Crystal
• 6 Resin

How to Use the Skimmer

You can use the Basic Skimmer by equipping it on your character in its dedicated slot. Once it's equipped, you simply need to press the appropriate key (Z by default) when you're in or near the water to activate the Skimmer.

The Skimmer allows you to "surf" along the water at a much faster rate than swimming. While this isn't quite as useful as a boat, the Skimmer is also much less cumbersome and capable of navigating tighter spaces. You can move even faster by holding down the sprint button for a turbo boost.

Keep in mind that you're not invulnerable when you're using the Skimmer. Should an enemy attack you, the Skimmer will be disabled for a short time and you'll fall in the water. It's best not to AFK on the ocean while riding a Skimmer if possible.

That said, the Skimmer's main advantage is its sheer speed. You can outrun nearly any waterborne enemy on the map with the exception of the gigantic Deepling serpent that patrols The Deep on the map. Craft yourself a Basic Skimmer as soon as you can — it's worth it!
