Where to Find Secret Weapons in Grounded 2

Secret Weapons are those that have special perks, increased stats, and a unique design in Grounded 2. They're found through the map, often hidden in hard to reach locations or defended by bosses. This is where you can find the secret weapons discovered in Grounded 2.

Grounded 2 Secret Weapon Locations

Gloom Skewer

The Gloom Skewer is an enhanced spear perfect for stabbing ants and cockroaches. It's hidden in the depths of the Toxic Anthill, guarded by a Cockroach Queen. It has the Gaping Wound perk, which reduces stab resistance for an enemy hit with a charged attack. Using it in the fight against the Cockroach Queen will actually make combat much faster.

To reach the Gloom Skewer, start at the South Entrance of Toxic Anthill in Snackbar Front. Take the first left,  then follow the path until you come across a room with two spray cans and a donut near the ceiling. Take a right out of this room, and follow the path through pesticide puddles until you climb the stairs before a large cavern. You may even see the Cockroach Queen walking inside it.  

Personally, I ran by the queen directly to the other side of the room. Here, chop down the mushrooms to collect the Gloom Skewer inside. I then turned around to face the boss. 

If that's too reckless for you, fighting her majesty will make collecting the spear and exploring the rest of the room much easier. As a boss she has a lot of health, but using stabbing attacks will quickly break through it. She'll spit Sizzle goo, so any cooling items, like Mintito or Mint Shard, will keep your health from burning away. The Fresh Defense Mutation is especially useful for this battle. You can also use Lingonberry Bandage, which has a cooling effect as well as the heal.

When her health bar disappears, the queen's head will pop off, like the regular Cockroach. She'll start spurting the Sizzle liquid from her neck and run around frantically. As long as you avoid Sizzle and Burning, just stay in distance to poke her remaining health away. 

Once she's defeated, head to the area of the cavern where there are mushrooms blocking a small nook. Chop the mushrooms and collect the Gloom Skewer. You'll also find an optical disk in this area. 

Crimson Avenger

The Crimson Avenger is a sword made to deal with spiders. Found by making your way through the Spider Den Anthill, it's actually located in the Memorial Crate. To reach it, take the Spider Den Anthill: North Entrance, located in Pine Hill near the Worm Holes candy container.

From there, go straight through two intersections. You want to take a right and go into an egg room where you'll find both regular worker ant eggs and Red Soldier Ant eggs. To the right there's a hole you want to go through. Follow the path down into a room with many dead ants, a Milk Molar, and multiple Marble and Quartzite nodes. Take the stairs up to the exit and continue to follow the path.

This takes you straight into the Memorial Crate. The Crimson Avenger is found near a Hot Chacha candy on the base of the crate. You can turn around and go back the way you came to leave the anthill, or continue forward to exit out of the Spider Den Anthill: South Entrance. 

The Crimson Avenger has Spider Criticals, a perk that increases your critical hit chance against them.

Scarlet Aegis

The Scarlet Aegis is a shield found in one of the Stranger's base of operations. It has two perks, Heavy Shield and Parry Buggie Heal. Heavy Shield fully blocks damage and doesn't drain as much stamina when blocking attacks. Parry Buggie Heal heals buggies near you when you Perfect Block. 

Before you leave you'll want to have at least one bomb, as the base is behind a cracked wall. The tunnel entrance is found in the Ceremony region, almost directly south of the microphone. Inside the tunnel you'll encounter scorpions and find a variety of marble and quartzite nodes. You want to look for the cracked wall in an offshoot path to the right. Blow it up to access the hidden room behind it. The Scarlet Aegis is found in the chest to the left side of the room.
