The Voyagers of Nera map is divided into three regions as of the Early Access launch version of the game: The Embrace, The Reef, and The Greatwood. Each of these regions has a number of Guide Spirits for you to rescue, three ruins to explore, and a bunch of crafting materials to acquire.

The above map shows the locations of all of the Guide Spirits, all of the Abyssal Spires, and most of the Monuments we've found.

Notable Locations in Voyagers of Nera

Here are the notable locations you'll come across in Voyagers of Nera.

Awakening Shrine

The Awakening Shrine is the temple where you first start your adventure. Aside from serving as a tutorial area, you can respawn here from anywhere in the world if you die.

Respawn Shrines

Each of the three regions has its own Respawn Shrine where you can choose to revive after you die. You can only respawn in a region's own Respawn Shrine; for example, dying in The Reef means that you can only respawn at The Reef's Respawn Shrine.

The Embrace

The Embrace is the first major region of Voyagers of Nera and the location where you'll start your adventure.

Ruins

Ruins are ancient temples populated by a variety of enemies and valuable crafting materials. Ruins are considered complete when you've either fully explored them or defeated the Construct guardian at the end.

Each region has three ruins, and these ruins give you one of three pieces of an Elder Spirit upon completion. Reviving Elder Spirits is essential to unlocking new Forms and upgrading your Spirit Anchor.

Abyssal Spires pollute the land with corruption until you destroy them.

Abyssal Spires

Abyssal Spires are major sources of Corruption that project a damaging aura in the area around them; you'll want some kind of Corruption Resistance food or potion if you want to survive in these areas without getting a debuff. You can learn how to destroy them by checking out our Corruption Guide.

Elder Altars

Elder Altars are the locations where you can awaken an Elder Spirit after you've retrieved all three fragments from each of the three ruins in a region.

The Deep

The Deep is a tangled mass of rocks and hostile enemies that serves as a barrier between regions. A large serpent stalks these areas and it is nigh-impossible to pass through this area without using a boat.

There is nothing of value in The Deep as far as I can tell, so just focus on getting to the other side as quickly as possible.

The Reef

The Reef is the second major region of Voyagers of Nera. You will need to travel to this area if you want to get a glider.

The Greatwood

The Greatwood is the third major region of Voyagers of Nera and the final region to explore in the Early Access launch version of the game.
