This guide tells you how the Voyagers of Nera Corruption and explains what you need to do to destroy the Abyssal Spires plaguing the land.

How Voyagers of Nera Corruption Works
The Voyagers of Nera Corruption system is essentially a purple meter that can appear at the bottom of the screen when you've accumulated any Corruption.
There are three ways for your Corruption meter to go up:
- Being within the radius of an active Abyssal Spire
- Sailing through The Deep between regions on the map
- Getting attacked by higher-level Deepling enemies
If the meter fills up, you'll be afflicted by the "Corruption" debuff and your health regeneration will be cut by 50%. The only way to remove this debuff is by returning to a Spirit Anchor, drinking the appropriate potion, eating a specific cooked food, or dying.
How to Destroy Abyssal Spires
You can destroy Abyssal Spires in Voyagers of Nera by diving underwater and destroying the glowing green pods with your spear. Each Abyssal Spire typically has three or four underwater towers with these green pods in the surrounding area along with several pods on the central tower.
Abyssal Spires project an aura of Corruption around it. You'll want to have specialized food or a potion to protect you from Corruption buildup before trying to destroy an Abyssal Spire. I strongly advise equipping the Oceanform Form to increase the amount of time you can spend underwater.
Additionally, Abyssal Spires are surrounded by a great number of underwater enemies. You should expect to fight off all sorts of tough creatures while you're swimming around in the depths.
You can see the location of all Abyssal Spires in the Early Access launch version of the game on our map.
