How to Unlock the Ancient's Gate
You can unlock the Voyagers of Nera Ancient's Gate by finding the correct Guide Spirit in The Reef on the map; check out our guide on Guide Spirits to see the specific location. You must then reach Level 14 and unlock the Ancient's Gate in the Knowledge Tree.
How to Use the Voyagers of Nera Ancient's Gate
The Ancient's Gate allows you to instantly fast travel from one location to another. It sounds like a super useful item, but it comes with some caveats.
To start, the Ancient's Gate can only be built within the radius of an active Spirit Anchor. Unfortunately, this means that you won't be able to place Ancient's Gates everywhere on the map; you can only really place them within the confines of your major bases as defined by the placement of Spirit Anchors.
Naturally, you'll also have to actually build the Ancient's Gate at each destination. At the minimum, you'll have to take your boat to The Reef to unlock the recipe and then return to The Embrace to build an Ancient's Gate there if you wish to be able to fast travel to that region.
Despite these downsides, the Ancient's Gate is incredibly useful. Once you've built them in the desired locations, you can interact with the Ancient's Gate to instantly travel to any other Ancient's Gate with no downsides beyond the initial setup.
This may be obvious, but it's worth stating: since you can only build an Ancient's Gate within the radius of a Spirit Anchor and you have a maximum limit of Spirit Anchors, it's a good idea to build at least one Ancient's Gate in each region so you can go back to other regions and get any crafting materials or Guide Spirits you may have missed.
