How to Unlock Alchemy
You can unlock Voyagers of Nera Alchemy by unlocking the Alchemy Station and Mending Salves at Level 14 in the Knowledge Tree.
You can unlock additional Alchemy recipes by unlocking Basic Alchemy Recipes at Level 18 and Alchemy Recipes II at Level 23 in the Knowledge Tree. However, you will need to collect the Sea Glass crafting material from The Reef and use it to craft Glass in the Kiln to make Glass Bottles for potions before you can use these recipes.
How Alchemy Works
Unlike some other games, Alchemy in Voyagers of Nera allows you to craft potions and salves instantly. Salves can be created with a short list of ingredients, but all potions will require a single Glass Bottle; you can't really get Glass Bottles until you've made it to The Reef, the second major region on the map.
Potions and salves are effectively divided into two categories: items that work instantly or items that provide a buff for a certain duration. You can see a full list of potions and salves, their recipes, and their effects below.
