Poncle has announced a Vampire Survivors Castlevania DLC crossover, bringing the Belmonts and their arch-nemesis Dracula into the world of the popular bullet heaven shooter.

Launching on October 31st (because of course), Ode to Castlevania will be Vampire Survivors' second Konami crossover DLC after the Contra collaboration Operation Guns was released earlier this year. Honestly, the vampire-slaying series seems like a much better fit for Vampire Survivors to me.

This new DLC will bring lots of Castlevania-themed content to the game, including playable characters from the Belmont and Belnades clan like Simon, Richter, Sypha, and Yoko, plus "even distant relatives like Charlotte Aulin and Maria Renard".

Vampire Survivors' new Castlevania DLC will let you play as several members of the Belmont clan.

As well as lots of new playable characters, Ode to Castlevania will also introduce new weapons and spells, including the Belmont clan's whip, Alucard's signature weapons, and even Shanoa's glyphs from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

You can also enjoy a brand new map complete with "a bunch of baneful bosses" to take on. Poncle says this is Vampire Survivors' largest map ever, which makes sense given the sprawling non-linearity of many Castlevania games.

If you're a fan of Castlevania's iconic music (which you very well should be), then you'll be pleased to know this DLC also contains 30 music tracks featuring rearrangements of many great Castlevania tunes, including "Bloody Tears", "Vampire Killer", and more obscure pieces like "Pitch Black Intrusion", among others.

In a Steam post announcing the DLC, Poncle says it'll also arrive alongside a patch that will bring a number of quality-of-life improvements, including advanced music selection, new Preview mode passives, and more.

Vampire Survivors isn't the only game to be blessed by an appearance from everyone's favorite vampire hunters; the iconic series has appeared in crossovers with the likes of Dead by DaylightV Rising, and Dead Cells in recent years too.

Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania launches across all platforms on October 31st and will set you back just $3.99. Not bad, eh?
