How to Catch Bugs
Unlike fishing, bug catching in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar does not require the use of a tool. Instead, you simply head up to a bug and press the interact button to grab them.
However, bugs will always flee if you run up to them. Instead, you'll want to walk up on them slowly. This way you'll have plenty of time to grab them (you can even jump without being noticed.)
Because of the lack of tools, you can catch rare bugs from day one. However, they're generally not as lucrative as fish, and can't be processed into other items. It's still not a bad way to make money at the start of Grand Bazaar, and you can increase the quality of bugs by increasing Penny's Sprite Level once you've unlocked the Nature Sprites.
