Crests are a new mechanic in Hollow Knight: Silksong, determining your attacks and what you can equip. In this guide, we'll show you where you can find each Crest, along with a few other related objectives.
Crest Locations
Hunter
Hunter is the Crest you start with in Silksong, though its default state has no special properties. You can upgrade this Crest a few times, though only after you obtain the Needolin ability.
With Needolin, you can open the door at the bottom of Moss Grotto, leading to Weavenest Atla. In the lower section of this area, you'll find a trapped person called Eva. They'll upgrade your Crest 2 times, based on how many Memory Lockets you've used to open tool slots in each Crest. You don't have to find and use every Memory Locket (we still had one Crest with multiple locked slots.)
Reaper
The Chapel of the Reaper can be found on the west side of Greymoor, slightly above the exit to Bellhart. Making it through the chapel will unlock the Reaper Crest.
Wanderer
The Chapel of the Wanderer is in Moss Grotto, but requires the ability to wall jump. With that ability, you can reach above the large door on the left side of Moss Grotto, with the chapel being further in. Completing it gets you the Wanderer Crest — for anyone missing the attack style of Hollow Knight, Wanderer is pretty close to it.
Beast
The Chapel of the Beast is in the east side of Hunter's March, giving you the Beast Crest when completed.
Witch
The Witch Crest is tied to an item known as the Twisted Bud, found in Bilewater. Follow our guide for this strange item to the end to obtain this Crest.
Architect
The Twelfth Architect in an NPC found in the Underworks. Not only do they sell a number of tools, but also an item called the Architect's Key. Costing 110 Rosaries, they wont actually sell you the key until you've obtained enough tools (the amount left you need to get is shown in the shop description.)
With the key in hand, you can head to a room above the Twelfth Architect, using the key on the large door and obtaining the Crest inside.
