This guide will tell you where to find Hell is Us Weapons, how they work, and how you can upgrade them to make them do more damage.

How Hell is Us Weapons Work
Hell is Us weapons are your primary means of defense against the Lymbic Entities that have appeared in Hadea. Guns and other conventional weaponry do not work against these enemies, leaving the Lymbic-based weapons as your only resort.
Weapons have several key stats:
- Lymbic Sphere: This is akin to the weapon's "element." You must select a Lymbic Sphere when upgrading a weapon at the Blacksmith for the first time. The Lymbic Sphere determines which Glyphs can be equipped to the weapon. For example, a weapon with the Lymbic Sphere of Grief can only equip Glyphs that share the same Lymbic Sphere of Grief and the Neutral Lymbic Sphere.
- Level: Weapons level up over time as you use them, gaining stronger damage as you kill more enemies.
- Grade: The "Grade" of a weapon serves as a maximum level cap for your weapon; the Grade can be upgraded at the Blacksmith once he's been properly equipped.
- Lymbic Energy: Lymbic Energy is akin to "mana" and is used to fuel the abilities of Glyphs attached to your weapon.
- Guard Protection: This shows how much a weapon protects you while guarding, essentially.
- Lymbic Theft: This shows how much Lymbic Energy you can gain while using the weapon.
- Parry Agility: This shows how quickly the weapon can be used to parry.
- Attack Speed: This shows how fast a weapon attacks.
- Combo Hit Damage: This shows you how much damage each hit in the weapon's combo does. Certain weapons have more attacks in their combo.
There are four types of weapons in the game: the Lymbic Sword, the Lymbic Twin Axes, the Lymbic Greatsword, and the Lymbic Polearm.
Are There Ranged Weapons in Hell is Us?
No, there are no ranged weapons in Hell is Us; all of the weapons in the game are melee weapons. However, some abilities provided by Glyphs and Drone Modules can effectively serve as ranged attacks, such as the Rage Spike Glyph which shoots a projectile at a targeted enemy.
Where to Find Weapons
You can find weapons in several places throughout the game. Rather than detail them all, we'll simply break down the first place you're likely to encounter each of the four weapon types.
- Lymbic Sword: Automatically received before your first fight in Senedra Forest.
- Lymbic Twin Axes: Found on a dead body deeper in the first dungeon, after climbing the ladders to the third floor of the prison area.
- Lymbic Polearm: In Acasa Marshes, at the entrance of the tunnel on the way to the ON Convoy in the northeast of the Location.
- Lymbic Greatsword: Inside the keypad-locked room inside of Vitalis' basement in the Village of Jova.
You can find multiple copies of the weapons throughout the game by exploring the map, solving Mysteries, and the like. Sometimes, a weapon may already be partially upgraded and have a Lymbic Sphere chosen for it.
Generally speaking, you will eventually find at least two blank weapons of each type along with a few weapons that are already upgraded with pre-selected Lymbic Spheres.

How to Upgrade Your Weapons
You can upgrade your weapons by rescuing Victor Gaz in the Acasa Marshes, getting the Key - Vitalis' Home Investigation Item from him, and opening up access to Vitalis' basement. Victor Gaz will set up shop in the Blacksmith's shop a short time after you've finished exploring Vitalis' basement.
Once Victor is set up, you can give him any manuals on Lymbic Forging that you find; this will upgrade his ability to increase your weapon's Grade (which increases the Level cap) and/or unlock new abilities for him.
A note: you must choose a Lymbic Sphere when you upgrade a weapon for the first time. Your chosen Lymbic Sphere cannot be reversed, and it also limits which Glyphs you can equip to the weapon.
