Hell is Us Map Guide

In this guide, we'll explain where the Hell is Us map is, how to fast travel, and how you can unlock other major Locations in Hadea.

Where is the Hell is Us Map?

Unfortunately, there is no true Hell is Us map. The APC has a map which is used to travel to other Locations, but it is functionally useless for traveling within a Location itself. You'll need to navigate around a Location using the compass and landmarks.

That said, there are two usable maps in the game for Acasa Marshes and Talju, respectively. Once found, these maps will assist you in a limited fashion with navigating these two locations.

Hell is Us Map | APC Locations Map

The Hell is Us APC map shows you the Locations you can travel to with the APC. There are 11 major Locations in total, and each Location may have sub "Zones" within that effectively serve as major points of interest.

Hell is Us Acasa Marshes Map

You can unlock the Acasa Marshes map in Hell is Us by traveling to the Village of Jova and looking for the ON Outpost, indicated by a white roof with "ON" on it. The map can be found sitting outside the building.

The red line on the map indicates where the ON evacuation convoy was heading to escape the area.

Hell is Us Talju Map

You can get the Talju Map in Hell is Us by speaking to Boro Juven in the auto shop right next to the APC when you first enter Talju. It shows you the locations of several important buildings that you'll need to progress the story, complete Good Deeds, and solve Mysteries.

Do note that the Talju Map is oriented with west at the top; make sure to take this in account when using your compass to navigate around the area.

How to Unlock Every Hell is Us Location on the APC Map

Here is how to unlock every Hell is Us Location on the APC map. Do keep in mind that many of these Locations have areas that you won't be able to access until you find a key Investigation Item elsewhere in the game such as the Arcas Spire (the large tower) in Senedra.

Bear in mind that some Locations may have multiple ways to unlock it; these are just the ways to unlock other Locations that we've confirmed ourselves.

How to Unlock Acasa Marshes

You can unlock Acasa Marshes by speaking with Ernest Caddell at the start of the game. However, you'll need to complete the first dungeon and retrieve the APC Keys before you can actually travel to Acasa Marshes.

Among other things, the Acasa Marshes is home to the Village of Jova which has the blacksmith; this allows you to upgrade your weapons and Defensive Gear.

How to Unlock Vyssa Hills

You can unlock Vyssa Hills by rescuing Victor Gaz from the destroyed ON Convoy in the northeast area of the Location; you can find the Acasa Marshes map leading you to the convoy in the ON Outpost in the Village of Jova.

Vyssa Hills is where you can meet Tania Alver, a journalist who will help you complete research tasks and subsequently find Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge.

How to Unlock Lake Cynon

You can unlock Lake Cynon by asking someone who knows about the Blue Flower, such as Rebecca in the Village of Jova. You'll find out about the blue flower by completing the puzzle in the tomb of Pentos Algea in the Watcher's Nest in Vyssa Hills.

How to Unlock Jeljin

You can unlock Jeljin by traveling to Lake Cynon, completing the Lake Cynon Reservoir puzzle, unlocking the Lymbic Forge, and investigating all of the symbols surrounding the forge.

Once that's done, speak to Talia Alver in the APC and she'll tell you about leads to the other three Keystones of Grief. This will also unlock the Locations of Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy and Talju.

How to Unlock Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy

You can unlock Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy by completing the Lake Cynon Reservoir puzzle and making it to the bottom of the Lymbic Forge. Investigate the symbols in there and speak with Tania Alver; she'll also give you the Locations of Jeljin and Talju.

How to Unlock Talju

As with Jeljin and Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy, you can get access to Talju by completing the Lake Cynon reservoir puzzle, making it to the bottom of the Lymbic Forge, and speaking with Tania Alver in the APC about the symbols you discovered.

How to Unlock Lethe - National Library

You can unlock Lethe - National Library by returning to Acasa Marshes

How to Unlock Auriga Museum

You can unlock Auriga Museum by opening up Marton Ralst's safe in the Lethe - National Library. This will also give you one of the two Investigation Items you need to open up the door to the museum, the "Iron Seal - Rising."

However, you will need to find the other Investigation Item (the "Iron Seal - Fading") in Jeljin, so don't waste your time traveling to Auriga Museum until you have both Iron Seals. There's not really anything to do until you have both Iron Seals to open the door in Auriga Museum.

How to Unlock Marastan

You can unlock Marastan by traveling to Talju and helping the survivors escape the area; use the Talju Map to find the Town Hall and speak with Caspian Fran to get started.

How to Unlock Plains of Mist

You can unlock Plains of Mist by opening up access to the snake path in Vyssa Hills, which requires thorough exploration of most of the other areas in the game. At the end of this trail, you'll find the Letter - Land Grant Investigation Item, which will reveal the Plains of Mist Location.

How to Fast Travel

You can fast travel to other Locations in Hell is Us by getting into the APC and interacting with the Navigation Computer by the driver's seat. You'll typically get a special cutscene with some story details the first time you travel to a new Location.

While you're in a Location, nearly every save point allows you to fast travel back to the APC. Note that this rule does not apply to all save points; the save point next to the APC doesn't have this option for obvious reasons, and certain save points (such as those within the Auriga Museum) do not allow you to fast travel at all.
