Using Items to Complete Hell is Us Good Deeds — Good Deeds can often be completed by bringing the right item to the right person at the right time.

How Hell is Us Good Deeds Work

Hell is Us Good Deeds are side quests where you have the opportunity to help people in need. These Good Deeds can range from simple tasks such as finding a lost item to life or death missions to help people survive in the midst of a Civil War.

Completing Good Deeds is not without its reward, mind — every completed Good Deed will earn you some kind of tangible reward from Gildas Brom in the Watcher's Nest such as Glyphs or Defensive Gear.

Warning: Good Deeds Can Be Failed!

It's important to note that Good Deeds can be failed and there's not really any way to undo it if you mess up. As a general rule, failing to complete a Good Deed means you'll miss out on the reward from Gildas Brom and it may result in the death of NPCs.

Here are some examples our researchers have encountered in their playthroughs:

Failing to bring both pieces of Sheet Music to the Village of Jova musician for the "Performance of a Lifetime" Good Deed will result in his death.
Failing to bring flares to all four people for the "A Light in the Dark" Good Deeds in Talju will result in the convoy leaving without them.

Some failure states depend on changes in the world which effectively act as deadlines, such as when you insert the Keystone of Grief in the Lymbic Forge; this causes the end of Act 1 and troops to move in Acasa Marshes, for example. You should always try to complete Good Deeds as soon as you can!

A Way Out	Lethe - National Library	Speak with Agathe in the Book Restoration area in the basement	Get the stamp from Room 109 with the safe passcode 2703. Go to room 111 to get the blank cards out of the desk draw at the Lethe - Ministry 1st floor (enter by jumping down a level when there's the break in the path and you have to fight an enemy). Bring the items to Agathe in Lethe - National Library.
Asunder	Acasa Marshes	Find the wife's note and rosary behind the house with the white ON truck parked out front	Bring the rosary to the dad by the mass graveyard.
Death's Door	Acasa Marshes	Find the medication in a suitcase northeast of the outdoor Timeloop in a small crevice, when entering the Marshes from the forest area	Bring the medication to the woman refugee by taking the path above the mine carts near where you find Tania/Agatha to find a small camp.
Family Feud	Jeljin	Speak with the man in the ruined section of the cemetery near the APC - he's holding a lantern	Go to Marastan and get the ashes from the house next to Talis'. Return to the man at Jeljin, he'll place the urn on the bench near him. Pick it up to get the ashes and a key for the memorial locker. This locker is located near the archaeology camp in the small memorial area
Forlorn Fate	Senedra Forest	Locked room with the woman shouting	Obtain the Flame key/sigil and Map of the Senedra Mountains from Gannt's corpse in Telgu, return to room, unlock it and give the woman the map.
Heart of Gold	Vyssa Hills	Speak with Atticus on the path to the Watcher's Nest - he's on a ledge above the shack you find Agatha in front of	Close the Vyssa Hills timeloop to get the ON Truck key and bring it to Atticus.
Incognito	Lethe - Ministry of Cultural Primacy	Pick up woman's clothing on the first floor	Give the ON officer on the second floor in the Lounge the Woman's Clothing you find in an office on the first floor so she can escape. Have to give her the clothes the first time you visit before you leave.
Insult to Injury	Marastan	Speak with any of the survivors	Turn off the transmission using the antenna key and taking a path to the tower through the tunnel leading to the Blood Queen statue.
Land of Milk and Honey	Acasa Marshes	Find the old lady and baby in the passages through the well	Pick up the empty bottles near them, go to Senedra Forest and speak with father Caddel to get cow milk. Return to baby as soon as possible.
Love They Neighbour	Acasa Marshes	The Despondent Woman (a.k.a. the Schoolteacher) involved in the lynching. House is behind Vaas' office (the house with the Sabinian Family Tree mural); she is sitting at her kitchen table and constantly smoking.	Get the Classroom Picture from the sad dad by giving him the bloody teddy bear found under the tree where the lynching occured in the Marshes. Give her the class photo.
Man's Best Friend	Vyssa Hills	Speak with the elder male refugee in Vyssa Hills camp	Release the dog in front of a house after the secondary troops leave for Pathom Abbey with Cpt Vaas.
Mementos	Auriga Museum	Pick up the Ring - Hand-Made on floor B1	Superhero ring belonging to prisoner Tilda Samson. Give the ring to her son at the refugee camp in Vyssa Hills or the Caddell Farm in Senedra Forest if you've already given Atticus the ON truck keys and they've left.
Never Worn	Jeljin	Pick up the Locker Key on the red backpack near the Timeloop in the underground tunnels	Open the locker in the upper tent (enemy within) to gain Shoes - Red and Letter - Daughter's Hope. Deliver shoes to the elephant in the upstairs bedroom in the Death to all Sabs house.
Performance of a Lifetime	Acasa Marshes	Speak with the musician on the truck near Cpt. Vaas lookout	Bring him the 2 Sheet Musics found in the Acasa Marshes; one is found in the Village of Jova on a piano to the south of the Jova Java coffee shop on the outdoor patio, and the other is found in Vyssa Hills to the east of the Weeping Knight statue in a suitcase on a trunk next to a dead body.
Power to the People	Marastan	Speak with any of the survivors in the town.	Turn on the power for 3 houses; the fuses are found in one of the houses and the boxes are typically on the building exterior.
Samo's Keys	Marastan	Pick up Samo's Keys in his shop.	Bring the keys to the gas station to give to the Dad so they can flee the town. From Samo's head NW, take the lower path (don't go down the stairs) and head straight to see the gas pumps. The man and his daughter are on far roof reached by ladder.
Separated	Jeljin	Speak with either the sister near the memorial boxes or the brother on the chapel roof	Defeat all the enemies near the memorial boxes and parking lot.
The Depths of Hell	Marastan	Listen to the HAM Radio	Speak with Korio by the river (Blue building with 2 locked doors) on his dock, get him Gas (found in Marastan) so he can rescue the captive women from the barn.
The Golden Watch	Senedra Forest	In the trenches right after the temple past the APC.	Return the watch to father Caddel.
Victor's Vigil	Acasa Marshes	Speak with Victor at the Blacksmith shop in Jova after saving him at the ON Convoy location in the marshes	Find Vitalis' car (rusted but can see the 32 on it still) partially in the water near a ruin to the NE of Jova. Use the car key found in Vitalis' house on the patio table to open the trunk and get a Vigil necklace, letter, and book for him. Give Victor the necklace.
Waylaid	Acasa Marshes	Room under the ancient spire to the SW of Jova	Metformin found at the Pharmacy in Talju, Sat Comm found at the Lethe Ministry of Cultural Primacy fourth floor.
Where the Heart Is	Acasa Marshes	Speak with Lt. Ru after ON Convoy rescue	Return to the tunnel and get the photo of her daughter. Return it to Ru.
