New details have been revealed on a new D&D Beyond digital supplement. The Fey-themed Lorwyn: First Light, will bring new player options and adventures to Dungeons & Dragons 2024. In addition, it officially brings yet another Magic: The Gathering setting into the fantasy TTRPG.
The Lorwyn: First Light Announcement
In an official post on D&D Beyond, Wizards of the Coast revealed what players can expect from the Lorwyn: First Light digital supplement. It will contain new Fey-inspired player options and monsters alongside a new Fey Domain of Delight: Lorwyn Shadowmoor.

For those familiar with Magic: The Gathering, that name may not be that new. Shadowmoor was introduced to the ubiquitous card game in 2008. It introduced creatures of fables and fairytales living together in a domain of perpetual midsummer. Now, much like Theros, Ravnica, and Strixhaven before it, this land is now represented in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.
The Lorwyn: First Light supplement will contain the following:
- 2 Backgrounds
- 2 Feats
- 2 Magic Items
- 8 Monsters
- 2 New Player Species and Advice on Playing 8 Player Species in the Lorwyn Shadowmoor setting
- 2 Adventure Examples and a Map for Both
The official post states that Lorwyn: First Light will be available as part of the Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle. This bundle includes physical and digital versions of the upcoming Forgotten Realms supplements alongside two other digital supplements: Astarion's Book of Hungers player supplement and the prewritten adventure Netheril's Fall.
While the bundle contains a lot of material for the latest edition of D&D, it does sit at a considerable MSRP of $159.99. However, in the original announcement for the Forgotten Realms bundle, Wizards of the Coast did confirm the digital supplements would be available as standalone purchases at an MSRP of $14.99. A less daunting price point if you just want the fey-themed material for your table.
